Fancy some fresh air over lunchtime? Then the TechnoSteppers are just the thing!
For all those who have been sitting at their laptop since the early hours of the morning, who are waiting for flashes of inspiration and bursts of creativity or who simply long for a bit of exercise over lunchtime - we have good news!
GNL & TECHNOPARK
GNL and Technopark Zurich have teamed up to motivate you to go for a leisurely 30-minute walk once a week. If you want to get fitter, meet new people, increase your daily step count, chat with your neighbors, do something good for yourself and simply take a break from the daily grind - TechnoSteppers is the right place for you.
Meeting point
- When: Every Tuesday at 12h30 (start date is July 16, 2024)
- Meeting point: Technopark main entrance (Turbinenplatz)
- Clothing: Normal - you can leave your sportswear and sneakers at home.
The walk also takes place in bad weather (exception: thunderstorms & storms)

DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR YOURSELF OVER LUNCH
Numerous studies prove this: People who walk regularly strengthen their muscles, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and many other chronic illnesses and mobilize the immune system. The active movement of walking strengthens not only the back muscles but also the large muscle groups in particular. At the same time, the moderate movement is good for the joints, which are kept flexible but not subjected to too much strain. The fresh air helps the body to relax and rest more easily in the evening. A ¼ hour is usually enough to significantly improve your mood.
Going for a walk can also have a positive effect on the psyche, as exercise releases happiness hormones. Walks can therefore reduce stress and improve your mood. Walking with friends or in groups can also strengthen social bonds and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
