Our mission and history

GNL is a leading Swiss footwear brand focused on sustainability. With health in its brand DNA, GNL stands for Swiss innovation and fashionable Made in Europe, offering customers the best regenerative footwear experience.

GNL stands for GLIDE AND LOCK and has a unique mission and value proposition: to regenerate while walking, thanks to a proprietary, advanced Swiss footwear technology. In the 1990s, Jürg Braunschweiler, a graduate of the world-renowned Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), invented the first shoe sole that uses horizontal cushioning instead of traditional vertical cushioning. Equipped with a garden hose, a pair of scissors and some superglue, Jürg produced his first prototype.

RESPONSABLE DES VENTES À 100

We are looking for a high performing Sales Manager to help us achieve our customer acquisition and sales growth targets. You will be responsible for maximizing our B2B sales potential, developing sales plans, executing and delivering results, and managing growth across multiple sales channels: wholesale (direct sales, agents and distributors), B2B corporate deals and special projects.

Tasks

  • Achieve growth and revenue targets by successfully managing all sales areas.
  • Develop and implement a B2B sales plan that expands our customer base and ensures a strong market presence in Switzerland, Germany and other countries in Europe and the USA.
  • Source, acquire and manage agents and distributors.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term B2B customer relationships by understanding and categorizing their needs.
  • Provide marketing, communication and promotional activities for the B2B channel (online & offline), etc.
  • Present sales, revenue, cost reports and realistic forecasts to management, including budget forecasts.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts with full knowledge of new products and competitive landscape.
  • Work closely with the design team and production management to assist with collection and production planning based on sales targets and company objectives.

Requirements

  • Preferably a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales manager in the footwear or lifestyle market by consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • A consolidated customer portfolio and distribution network would be a strong plus.
  • Experience in B2B sales (retail & wholesale).
  • An understanding of e-commerce and omnichannel sales strategies is an advantage.
  • Ability to credibly and effectively communicate, present to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to close.
  • A strong business and marketing acumen and expertise in the footwear industry.
  • Willingness, enthusiasm and ability to learn in depth about new products and how they work.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • A passion for fitness, sports or hiking.
  • Fluent in German and English, preferably proficient in French.
